"As a gathering of believers by the grace of God,
we commit ourselves under the guidance
and blessing of the Lord to grow in faith
through the unchanging Word of God,
to unite in Christ's love to worship and serve our Savior,
and to boldly proclaim Christ crucified
for the forgiveness of sin to southwest Las Vegas."

"To grow in faith through the unchanging Word of God"
"But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from who you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus." (2 Timothy 3:14,15)

"To unite in Christ's love to worship and serve our Savior"
"Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching." (Hebrews 10:24,25)

"To boldly proclaim Christ crucified for the forgiveness of sin to southwest Las Vegas."
"All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassador's, as though God were making his appeal through us."(2 Corinthians 5:18-20)

To provide the life-giving water of the gospel to those living in the desert."
“We believe in one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (the Trinity). We believe that being saved from sin is of vital importance, and that we are saved by God's grace alone, through faith in Jesus alone, which is created in us by Scripture alone. We believe that God the Holy Spirit creates, strengthens, and preserves saving faith in Jesus in our hearts through the gospel in Word and Sacrament.”

Our church is a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS), a church body of over 420,000 people in 1200+ congregations throughout the 50 states and in 26 countries of the world. The WELS believes that the Bible is 100% God's inspired Word and contains no errors. It believes that being saved from sin is of vital importance, and that we are saved by God's grace alone, through faith in Jesus alone, which is created in us by Scripture alone.

Founded in Wisconsin in 1850, our synod is a gathering of like-believing congregations which walk and work together to spread the gospel across the U.S. and all around the world. We are a gospel-centered (evangelical) church in our faith and our practice. We stand on the inspired and inerrant Word of God as the only authority for Christian faith and life.

Our membership in this synod unites us with Christians across our country and the world. It allows us to pool our resources for mission work, the production of Bible-based Christian literature, and the training of pastors and grade school teachers. But above all, we can be comforted by the fact that we know there are Christians throughout the world who share a common faith with us.

Our congregation and synod are solidly based in the Bible. We believe that Jesus is our Savior and the only way to heaven. Through faith in Jesus we are united to him and each other.

The name “Lutheran” comes from the great reformer, Martin Luther. In a period in history when the Church had lost sight of its Savior and the truth of his Word, Martin Luther boldly challenged these errors and preached Jesus Christ as Savior. We are proud to remember his work in bringing to light the truth of God’s Word by using his name to identify ourselves.

We are deeply grateful for the continued support of our brothers and sisters in Christ throughout the WELS, who have supported this mission effort from its beginning.
