The Worship Team is responsible for assisting the pastor in providing regular and ongoing opportunities for orderly corporate worship and the mutual encouragement and edification which these worship services offer. The team works closely with the choir to provide the beauty and richness of live music to our services.
The Education Team is responsible for assisting the pastor in providing Christ-centered and Bible-based classes for all ages to enable each member to grow in faith and in the knowledge of the truth through group Bible study. The Education Team oversees three special children’s ministry events annually (for example, Creation for Kids), parenting and marriage workshops, and the ministries of the Sunday School and the Youth Group.
The Outreach Team establishes and maintains an active program for the congregation to reach out to the community with the gospel. The members of this team regularly make visits to persons who have expressed interest in our church, as well as attempt to make new contacts through personal visits, mailings and phone invitations. This team is also responsible for the website design and maintenance.
The Stewardship Team is responsible for encouraging the congregation in proper and generous management of their God-given time, talents and possessions. They oversee both the organization and scheduling of services, like providing the Sunday goodies, nursery staffing, acolytes, ushers and greeters. They also encourage us in our generous, gospel-motivated monetary support of the Lord’s work in our congregation and synod.
The Fellowship Team is responsible for putting together social events at which the congregation may come together in an informal setting and get to know one another better. The Fellowship Team organizes an event for the entire congregation about once a month.
The Elders attend to the spiritual welfare of the pastor and the congregation members, individually and corporately, and assist where necessary in the congregation's worship. Member families are assigned to each elder for personal spiritual nurture and encouragement. Once a year they host a cottage meeting, to which all members are invited, to ask how they might serve you better, solicit your ideas for our ministry, and encourage you with a brief devotion and prayer.
